Of course the problem started with a girl that I had been dating. She moved in with me after she got into a dispute with her landlord, over this rather large dog that she has. Of course the dog is as cuddly as it can be, it is like Marmaduke pretty much, but not a Great Dane. I got the same problem when the landlord saw her walking this huge dog around the complex, the kids were trying to ride him like a pony. At any rate I ended up finding a nice apartments in Silver Spring and that was really a lot better for me in the real world. The girl took her dog and moved in with her Mom, although I still see her on the weekends. I love this new place because it is a nicer place with more amenities and I am paying a bit less in rent.
The big thing is that I am half as far from work as I had been. There have been a couple of really nice days and I got my bike out and rode it to work. It took about the same time as it used to take for me to drive to work. There is a bike path that really goes nearly the entire way. The thing that really is great is that I can lay in bed to sleep an extra 10 or 15 minutes. Since I can completely avoid the traffic the daily commute is extremely predictable. The only thing that makes it longer or shorter is whether or not you hit a couple of stop lights. That can be one or two minutes for the good or bad, but basically the trip is going to be just under ten minutes and not much can go wrong.
